Reiki is the "Energy of Life", "Rei" means spirit, miraculous or divine and "ki" means vital energy, breath of life or consciousness (often seen as ch'i in Chinese or prana in Sankrit). Reiki is a healing modality that typically uses the hands to transmit this universal life force from one individual to another. The energy will flow through open channels and work to open stuck channels. There is no harm that can be done from Reiki. No negative energy can be passed to either practitioner or recipient and the extent to which one feels the treatment in the moment often has quite a bit to do with one's openness to receive. The beauty of Reiki is just as no harm can be done from the experience, healing always takes place on the subtle level, if not on the gross, physical plane. Depending on the injury or issue being treated, healing can take any number of sessions, but most people experience immediate shifting or relief of their pain. Reiki can also be transmitted over distances and has helped many people who were not able to receive a session in person.

These can be arranged for specific physical injuries or ailments, general balancing of the body, or for healing of the heart, mind and soul. Distance Healing
Alexis offers Reiki sessions via skype, phone or email to heal yourself, a friend or family member. Generally, a ceremony will be held that will draw in the energy of the recipient and whatever intentions were set forth for the treatment. Then one of two things can take place. Firstly, an oral step-by step healing can take place over each point in the body, in which the recipient will lie or sit comfortably on their end and listen to the voice from the phone or skype as it moves over each place and the intention from our end will find its way to the intended spot on the recipient's body. The second, more common way for the distance healing to commence after the ceremony is for Alexis to use the powerful Reiki symbols given to her by her master teachers and her own capacity for boundless love and send the vital energy force to its necessary recipient for healing. This way is excellent for offering healing to someone you care about who may not be open to treatment, alternative or otherwise, as they do not need to be involved in the ceremony or process to receive the benefits. it is also a beautiful way for someone to receive healing who is traveling or incapable of arranging an in-person session for any reason.
