TThe Moon and Sun are coming together in sidereal Pisces in the star of Revati, “the Wealthy” on March 31 at 8:24 pm HT (11:24 pm PDT) and April 1st in other locations. Revati is the star at the end of Pisces, that brings the cycle of constellations to its end, the long walk home. After doing the deep spiritual work in the previous nakshatra, Uttarabhadrapada, we can finally surrender fully into the wealth that comes when our attachments are gone. We do not need anything but ourselves to surrender home. This nakshatra is peaceful and soft and ruled by Pushan, the nurturer, who is also a shepherd that protects the flocks while they travel. The symbol is a drum, meting out time with each beat. It can send you back into the wheel of time in a peaceful way, or it can assist you in merging with all that is and stepping out of time and space as we know it, but wherever it sends you, it has a calm vibration and the feeling that you will carry much wealth with you where you go.
Mercury is also in Pisces, in the star of Uttarabhadrapada, where it is also in debilitation, or its least intelligent state. This is because Mercury is our buddhi, or discernment and in Pisces we are connecting and merging with everything and seeing it as “One” as opposed to the delineation and separation that occurs when we are sifting through information and words in order to think and communicate. The intellect can be “out at sea” here, but can also bring unusual, otherworldly, spiritual, creative and emotional truths out in a less linear fashion and deep insight is available. One complication of this is that right now we have some intensity with conjunctions and the recent nodal axis shift that is causing difficult dynamics that might require precise and clear communication in order to navigate and the potential for misunderstandings is high. Saturn and Mars will be exactly conjunct on the 3rd and 4th of April, bringing our Fear and Fight into a planetary collision. Saturn is and has been holding court in his own sign of Capricorn, where Mars is exalted and in his highest capacity for discipline, strength of purpose and continuous constructive action. The high operational intelligence of both of these Grahas is going to help whatever explosions come of it move us closer to our true path, even if it is in a difficult house for you. On a global scale, we also can expect some intensity, both geological and social. Rahu in Aries now is magnifying, and dispersing our fiery and militant feelings and it is certainly a blessing to have its ruler Mars exalted, but the proximity of Saturn and the fact that the nodes are containing all the planets between them right now in a Kala Sarpa Yoga (Time Snake), indicates that fear and delusion may either overcome a strong practical path that we are on, or send us to using our might and determination to fight a battle that is not real or necessary. This is further exacerbated by the fact that Venus has now joined Jupiter in Aquarius and so we are entering another battle between what we believe and what actually allows us to relate in harmony and peace. Aquarius is the sign of society and shows us where we can be, and what is wrong with how we are co-existing currently. Venus here can step out of one-to-one romantic relationships and into the realm of how we are all in relationship to one another. Jupiter can show us the potential path forward for us collectively, especially in the specific star he is transiting of Purva Bhadrapada but he can also lead us to depart from true timeless teachings in favor of wisdom that is more temporal and specific to an environment/place in Aquarius. He will be moving into his own sign of Pisces on April 13th and we can expect this star to guide us through the portal of awareness that we are beyond these forms and that even the worst that we witness in the world around us will eventually merge back into the great ocean of energy and be reborn. Maybe even through you. Can we see ourselves in each other, and in the best and worst of society? Our tendency to “other” each other, even through compassion and empathy, is the very thing that keeps us trapped.
