New Moon in Pushya: Nurturing Truth

This Moon and Sun are coming together at 4 degrees Cancer, in the star of Pushya, at 10:33 am PST on Monday, July 20th. Since it is happening in such early degrees, the majority of the New Moon phase, or tithi, is with the Moon in the previous star, Purnavasu and even in the sign of Gemini. This shows the early stages of Motherhood, in fact the birth of the Earth Mother herself happens in Purnavasu. While the pregnancy and birth stages of creating and nurturing life are indeed important, the long term care and nourishment is inevitably more challenging as it requires energy and effort continuously over time.
