The Moon and Sun are coming together in sidereal Scorpio on Wednesday, November 23rd, at 12:57 pm HT (2:57 pm PDT), and they are joined a tightly conjunct Venus and Mercury, all in the nakshatra of Anuradha, or “After Radha”. Anuradha is ruled by Mitra, the god of friendship and is inherently connected to the goddess Radha, the devoted one. She who is the lover of the Beloved. It is through her that we are able to reach God. In Vedic teachings there are many faces of the One, each one offering us a familiar relationship that is accessible to us. For some it is the way we might feel towards a child that connects us to the Divine, for some it may be a good friend, for others a Mother or a Father….Radha connects us to what is said to be the highest relationship, that of a Lover. She shows us the ultimate love, the ultimate bhakti, the ultimate union. She is the ultimate vulnerability, where we have not protection around our hearts at all, and there is nothing we will not do to merge with what we love. The symbol is a lotus flower. That which is growing from the mud and is yet the symbol of perfection and completion.
The Moon is just moving past its point of debility here, where we have the hardest time managing our emotions. Anuradha is like a breath of fresh air, where we remember it is not all about us. If we can call ourselves out of the murky waters where we drown in our own emotions, perhaps we can set our sights like a flower towards the Sun. As this is the dark Moon and therefore the time when our energy is the most low, we might find that it is through meditation and solitude through which we are able to rise above the mud. After a month of over-giving our energy to others, it is certainly worth a look at where and what we choose to do with our time, and whether or not it is a distraction from facing our deepest fears, or whether it is actually serving us. The Sun is shining in the shadows, showing us what is real and what is imagined, and helping us to crawl out of the corners and into the light. Mercury and Venus, our two relational planets, can really struggle here, as they are mired in the illusions and delusions of Scorpio too, and might lash out before getting the full story. The most important part of the story to understand is that we wrote it. No matter what we believe others have done to us, we have played a primary part in helping them. Are we choosing our friends wisely? How about our lovers? If the answer is yes, than a good chance is that there is confusion that needs to be cleared up. If the answer is no, well, what are you going to do about it? Are you more afraid of being alone than turning your back on your own soul? The path of the victim is one that can only end if you allow it to. Here is a chance to be a courageous emotional warrior and battle your own demons, instead of continuing to pretend they exist outside of you! Jupiter, moving direct this same day, is sending his one-way wisdom from Pisces to this stellium in Scorpio. He is giving us the opportunity to use our teachings and beliefs to pull out of the mud and towards the light, particularly the ones that are beyond dogma and have been building up internally for us during this retrograde cycle. There is a FREE report on Jupiter for all 12 Signs, available on my website, if you want to know what area of your life he is activating for you. With Mars, Retrograde right across the way from his own sign in Taurus, and Jupiter, going direct later this day, sending his one-way wisdom from Pisces, the question looms, “would you rather be comfortable or truly happy?” A good many will choose comfort over the unknown, but all of us will be blessed with the inner knowing of what’s really right and true. May you have a blessed and bold New Moon! To Find out how these transits will affect you and your personal Natal Chart
