2023 Forecast: Commitment to the Future, Belief in the Self

12/31/2022

Major Transit Dates of 2023:

Planets Changing Signs:

Saturn moves into Aquarius -January 17th (until March 2025)
This is the biggest transit of the year, as Saturn has been in Capricorn for 3 years, since January 2020, seeing us through major changes in society and the world, as well as for many of us in our daily lives

Mars moves into Gemini -March 12th (after 7 months in Taurus)
This shift will be felt for sure, as Mars transit is usually much shorter and he has been creating a lot of fire in the usually grounded and pleasure-seeking sign of Taurus. Watch out for that fire in your communication when he moves into Gemini!

Jupiter moves into Aries -April 21 (until May 2024)
Jupiter is transitioning from his own watery abode in Pisces into the fiery kick-starting sign of Aries. Get ready to practice what you preach, and for it to be related to the strengthening your physical body. This can also be a time of individualistic philosophies and militance in our beliefs.

Rahu moves into Pisces, Ketu moves into Virgo -November 28th (until June 2025)
The nodes bring us to open new karma with Rahu in the realm of mystery and surrender and close old karma with Ketu on organizing all the details. If we can manage the details to bring higher freedom and see the big picture, then we can heal this karmic axis.

Retrogrades:

Mercury Retrograde in Capricorn back to Sagittarius (December 3-, 2022-January 18th, 2023)
We need to go back to our beliefs and see how they inform our ideas and capacity to discern what is true. We also need to recognize the way in which we use communication to bypass connection.

Mars Retrograde Gemini back to Taurus (Began October 30, 2022 - January 12th, 2023)
Mars is moving direct in the first two weeks of the new year! This will bring us to action in the area we may have been mulling over or allowing to build up resentment. If you have felt like there’s a volcano simmering beneath the surface in one area of your life, trust that the flow can come out slow and steady and with purpose if you allow the reflection you’ve been sitting with to inform your forward motion. It can also explode, so tread carefully.

Mercury Retrograde in Aries (April 21-May 14th, 2023)
This will be an opportunity to reflect upon the ways in which we may be “short” in our communication and while that may get the point across quickly, it may not increase other people’s desire to hear what you have to say. It is also important to think before you speak, and to follow your thoughts and ideas through to the finish line.

Saturn Retrograde in Aquarius (June 17th-November 4th, 2023)
Saturn’s first retrograde cycle in Aquarius is going to be an opportunity to reflect upon how we spend our time in the larger community or world and what we are committed to. If we have determined that there is a cause we are working for, we may need to think deeper about how we are going about approaching this or if our innovative solutions carry practical enough foundations upon which to build.

Venus Retrograde in Leo back to Cancer (July 22-September 3rd, 2023)
This is going to a be a “redo” of any relationship drama that may have occurred as Venus transited Cancer the first time through. Any ways in which you feel taken advantage of and under-appreciated may be reflected upon and perhaps you can see your part in that dynamic. Venus is where we are learning conditional, mutual love and Cancer is where we experience unconditional love, like a mother to a child. Are you mothering your partner?

Mercury Retrograde in Leo (August 23-September 15th, 2023)
This third Mercury retrograde is calling upon us to reflect on how we think we know more than we do and perhaps can be domineering in our speech/communication. In what ways could we be more receptive and willing to hear others’ perspectives? Speaking with confidence is great, but so is admitting when you’re wrong or don’t actually know the answer.

Jupiter Retrograde in Aries (September 4th-December 30th, 2023)
This cycle is an opportunity to look at how your beliefs may just serve yourself, and do not have the expansive wisdom necessary to last the test of time. In what ways does anger, ultimately rooted in fear, create your belief systems? Is there a pathway to honor both the individual and the collective through what you idealize? If not, perhaps it is time to take a jog back down the path you started on and see where you went wayward.

Mercury Retrograde in Sagittarius moving into Scorpio (December 13th-January 2nd, 2023)
In this 4th (yes, we get 4 this year!) Mercury retrograde of 2023, we end off where we began, and a little behind! We need to go back even further than the root of our beliefs to see where our intellect is biased, straight into the belly of our fears. This is where we can sit with the scary feelings and understand why we had to create the beliefs we did to protect ourselves, and how we can create new ones that don’t bypass our pain, rather envelop it and incorporate it into our beliefs instead. From this place, our communication can be communicative of our real truth, what we feel.

Eclipses:

Solar Eclipse in Aries (Ashwini)- April 19th
In this eclipse, Rahu is showing us (yet again) how we are obsessed with our own power and even when it is strong (Sun is exalted here) if we cannot contain it or call upon past wisdom that knows how to compromise, we will lose it again and again.

Lunar eclipse in Libra (Vishaka)-May 5th
Ketu is eclipsing the full moon in the part of Libra where we must take the road less travelled and count on our results in the future. It can be scary, and the south node may give us a feeling of “cutting ourselves off” from others, as opposed to choosing what is right for us, but if we dig deep we can find that any good relationship requires some long hard work on one’s own self.

Solar Eclipse in Virgo (Chitra)- October 14th
This is the final eclipse cycle with the nodes in Libra/Aries, and in this first one the eclipsing node is still in Libra, while the Sun and Moon are in Virgo. Our power is now being eclipsed by the South Node, giving us the insight to see the ways in which we struggle with the details in our efforts to be likable and beautiful.. and how we are mired in the illusion of perfection. Since we are hyper-focused on the big picture in this time, we might find we have lost sight of the structures that hold us up and how they need to be both functional and offer ease and grace in our human relations.

Lunar Eclipse in Aries (Ashwini)-October 28th
This final eclipse of the axis we have been in since March 2022 will show us the balance of ourselves and others. We need to show up first for ourselves and make sure we are strong, second for our close relationships and both need to work within the bigger framework of society. Whatever new karma you are opening up on your on self-trajectory, this is the gateway through which you must walk.

The Week in Stars (12/26-1/1): Expanding towards Illusion

12/26/2022

Picture
This is the last week of 2022 and it promises to bring us to some profound wisdom if we allow it. We begin the week, on the Monday morning with the Moon still joined Saturn in Capricorn, moving through exact conjunction. A continuation of solitude, peace and commitment are all possible. So are remaining feelings of sadness, pressure and loneliness.  By afternoon the Moon will shift into Aquarius, where it will remain for 2 days. Here we will feel the movement, and perhaps a desire to bring our energy out into the world, although the seriousness may remain. On Wednesday, the 28th, the Moon will shift into Pisces, joining Jupiter where we will find ourselves floating in a sea of inspiration and hope after so much work. Mercury is joining Saturn in Capricorn on this day, offering us grounded and humble communication, for a day. On Thursday Mercury begins its Retrograde cycle, and we will find ourselves backtracking over old communication and ideas for the next few weeks. Venus is shifting on Thursday into Capricorn, herself, so our attitude in relationships will be more humble and practical, lending assistance to our faltering communication. Mercury will step back into Sagittarius for this cycle on Friday, so expect to evaluate the beliefs and biases at the root of what you think you understand. Be willing to listen and consider that you may not be right. New Years Eve brings our mind and emotions into a field of illusion, and likely delusion, so be mindful not to exxagerate what you think you see and experience. Remember with delayed communication at the helm, misunderstandings may be rampant. 2023 certainly starts off with a bit of haze, that could get irie, no intoxicants needed, so be mindful of your breath, your body and where you send your creative energy as some choices cannot be unmade!
WEEKLY FORECAST FOR ALL 12 SIDEREAL RISING SIGNS

Aries
The week begins with a focus on career, what your biggest ambitions are and how you connect one-to-one with people through your status and recognition. Mercury Retrograde is a period of deep introspection through your beliefs on how you cause yourself (and others) suffering and how that can become healing if you allow it. The end of the week can become confusing and the start of the New Year, quite emotional. Staying home could be good. Staying sober even better.

Taurus
The week starts off with deep learning and turns into a focus on your career, status and recognition. Your ruling planet’s move into your 9th is a welcome shift from the 8th house of sudden unexpected events, expect to feel the alignments shifting mid-week, especially as the Moon joins Jupiter in your 11th house of community. There may still be some communication pitfalls you need to examine, however. Stay with yourself and allow yourself to listen to others. New Years can get pretty deep into the illusions for you, and the disappointment may hit home on the 1st day of the year, so be mindful of how far you let your imagination go!

Gemini
This week is one of great shifts for you, as your ruling planet is moving from your house of partners to your house of transformation, only to go retrograde back into your house of partners, lol! You may feel like you are on rewind, and in many regards you are. What did you not learn the first round? How much of what you understand about others is based in projection rather than wisdom? With the Moon transiting your 9th and 10th houses this week, you can expect to feel the abundance. New Years celebrations can be social and connective, but be mindful of the illusion of how much value you are bringing to the table!

Cancer
The week begins with your identity caught up in that of others and the transformation they help you experience. When Mercury moves retrograde, you will likely find communication extremely difficult and confusing. Try very hard to hear what people are actually saying and not what you want them to be saying. The second half of the week will feel more hopeful and graceful for you but be aware of New Years eve and day and over inflating your own identity through the house of status and recognition.

Leo
This week begins on the note of hard work and service for you. Saturn has been keeping you here for the past 3 years, and the Moon, as your 12th lord, is actually bringing a sense of freedom from your efforts. The work you put it in is often in service of others and it will precisely those others that may disappoint you. Mid-week you will have Jupiter’s grace to face your fears and the New year is off to a start in the direction of your highest truth. Messages may come through your dreams.

Virgo
The week starts off in service of what you love and the community you experience from committing to that. As it progresses, you may find yourself needing to show up for the hard work, even while you feel yourself moving backwards in time. This may be a good time to revisit your home and ideally the beliefs that do or do not bring you peace. Mid-week your heart will be focused on one-to-one connection and New Year’s will bring transformation but could also bring you flirting with danger!

Libra
For you the week begins with your commitments at home and moves into how your creative pursuits help elevate your status and career. Mid-week, you will find yourself wanting to do what feels good, but also having to work hard for your recognition at work. New Year’s is all about relationships for you. Be mindful of Rahu joining the Moon and projections or fantasies you may have about partners or others and what they are feeling.

Scorpio
The week starts off with your commitment to learning and growing in an effort to find truth and then moves into a focus on home and feeling nurtured. Mid-week you will enjoy children and creativity and feel the abundance that comes from what you love, but New Year’s may bring up an exaggerated vision of how much work is put up on you. Imagine yourself in service to something higher than yourself and focus on your blessings.

Sagittarius
This week begins with a focus on finances for you and quickly moves into your will to succeed in this arena. You will find yourself feeling yourself and gracefully tuning into your fears on Wednesday, yet also feeling like you are running over old ground in your relationships and career when Mercury begins Retrograde. New Year’s for you is a time to have fun, just be aware of a need for containment of  your creative energy!

Capricorn
This week begins with your partner or relationships entwined with your identity and then moves into a focus on how you receive your value from them. Mid-week you may feel expansive and wise, but be aware of the disappointment that comes from attachment to the fruits of your labors. New Years is a time for you to stay home and relax with the one you love, but be aware of projecting onto them what it is actually you that is feeling.

Aquarius
For you, the week begins hiding out and immediately turns into hard work and service. Try to nurture your body. On Wednesday, you will find some abundant blessings and community can come from your values, but disappointment and escape may also arise from your home, your feelings and what you believe as Venus your 4th and 9th lord moves into your 12th house of loss. New Year’s brings for you a heightened sense of will to do what’s hard, which is *hint* related to feeling your emotions and being vulnerable.

Pisces
This week begins joy with community and quickly moves into disappointment and escape and inimical issues with groups of people stemming from your willfulness. Your 4th lord of home and 7th lord of relationships is about to turn retrograde, so expect to revisit some themes around communication, particularly as it moves through your career and status. Wednesday will bring some creativity and playfulness right to your persona and the New Year will begin with perhaps a financial boon. Be aware that it may not be as grand as it first appears!

New Moon in Mula: The Root of our Relations

12/21/2022

Picture
On December 23, at 12:16 am HT (2:16 am PDT) the Moon and Sun will come together in sidereal Sagittarius in the star of Mula, “the root”. Mula is ruled by Nirriti, the goddess of destruction and chaos and shows us where we must rip out the roots of what we have been doing that hasn’t been working. When we see this comes after Scorpio, we know that the root of our problems stems from fear. Our highest fear is not that we will die, because we know that will eventually be. Our highest fear is that  we are going to lose those we love or that they will reject us, or worse, we will not be loved at all... that we will not matter. Much of what we believe depends on how we navigate this very real feeling. In Sagittarius we often come up with philosophies and ideals that bypass this fear and “make it better”, but what if instead the highest truth was to embrace our fear and allow it to co-exist with our highest ideals? Instead of over-riding our pain to reach spirit, what if we planted roots of understanding and compassion that incorporate our grief, anger, and joy; our range of humanness accepted in that which we call godly?

With both Mercury and Venus, our relational planets joining our Sun and Moon this month, and Mercury about to go Retrograde, we will definitely get to see just how much of what we believe is built upon bypassing our own pain. In order to find intimacy with one another, we must be willing to go to the root of everything, which is actually in the feelings. We can think, idealize, philosophize and realize all we want, but if we are unwilling to actually feel, then we are as lost as we have ever been. Venus is in Purvashada, where we can plant new seeds based on solid ideals in relationships, and she will be moving into Capricorn on the 29th, bringing us into humility and practical, grounded relating that is capable of commiting. Mercury, is getting ready to Retrograde in the star of Uttarashada, where we begin to reap some harvest from our efforts in our communication. When he begins his perceived backward motion, we will likely have to take a few steps back and review how we have been sharing ourselves with others. Is it mainly thoughts and projections, or are we truly relating? As Mercury is moving into Capricorn on December 27th, right before going Retrograde on the 29th, and then back into Sagittarius on the 30th, we are likely to think we have found some solid ground in our words and ideas, and then have to go back and review the belief systems that we are discerning things from.

Mars Retrograde is giving his one-way dristhi from Taurus on this New Moon, showing that we are still a little angry beneath the surface, particularly about the ways in which we perceive others have kept us from our discipline. It is our own passion and desire that has been the obstacle, but one of the biggest shadows of Sagittarius is an inability to “own” our sh*&t and a tendency to bring everything to some kind of universal reality. Be careful, because this still-simmering volcano beneath the surface may be the very thing that is at the root of the chaos you create in your relations!

Happy New Moon!

The Stars this Week (12/19-12/25): Dropping In to Truth

12/20/2022

Picture
We begin this week with the Moon joined Ketu in Swati, the sword of discernment right in the middle of Libra. Here we are being asked to cut through the illusions of our mind, feel the truth of our emotions and be decisive in spite of all the noise of others. As the Moon moves into Vishaka on Tuesday, we begin to walk what can feel like a lonely path (in that we are no longer seeking validation from others) but one that will yield great results over time. This is also where the Moon moves into a state of debility when she gets to the Scorpio part of this nakshatra, where our mind and emotions can become fettered in the darkness that inevitably surrounds us when we get far into the path and lose our way. Emotions may be a bit of a roller coaster, so allowing yourself to feel what is real (your feelings) and then allow them to be spoken with honesty and clarity to those whom you need to share, without blame. If we can learn to master this, our communication can become full of grace and ease, rather than fraught with tension and struggle. The trick is to recognize you do not have control over other people’s mind and emotions and then really deeply understand that again and again until you embody it.

With Mercury, Venus and the Sun all in Sagittarius now, we need to be careful of spiritually overriding other people’s feelings and giving them a “fix-it” maxim instead of the care and consideration they may be needing. Wednesday we will feel more devotion which will slowly turn to an internal fire and courage as the night progresses and we move into Thursday, when the Moon moves into Sagittarius and begins its final descent into darkness in the star of Mula, “the root”. This is where we will uproot old beliefs and make room for new ones, more established in truth, hopefully. The New Moon is early in the am for those of us in North America on Friday and will set off a new cycle of hope and inspiration and teachings, particularly as they relate to relationships and communication, as both Venus and Mercury are joined this Sun and Moon.

On Saturday, Christmas Eve and Day, the Moon joins Saturn in Capricorn, bringing our mind back to the limitations of bringing those hopes and dreams to reality and the hard work and commitment necessary to make that happen. Be mindful to not just listen on the surface, but to allow your hearing to be both expansive and deep, bringing awareness to what is left unsaid. As Mercury is now beginning to pause to rewind next week, it is time to slow down our words and allow ourselves time to reflect upon what we are hearing and learning.

*please note, these are meant to be used for Vedic Rising Signs (or Moon for psychological effect) only. Western (tropical) signs will not work.

The Stars this Week (12/12-12/18): Power from the Root

12/13/2022

Picture
The Moon is finishing its run in its own sign of Cancer on Monday with a strong energetic gaze from Saturn on it, into Leo on Tuesday, with a fiery one from a still-Retrograde Mars Retrograde! By Friday it will be moving through Virgo, ending on Sunday in the early degrees of Libra in the star Chitra. This is a bit of an emotional roller coaster in the beginning as we are in touch with our feelings and might be feeling some depression or sadness, then becoming more fiery, angry and entitled for the majority of the week, until the weekend, when we can start to get organized (and perhaps a little nit-picky!) Sunday will bring us into sociable Libra in the star of Chitra, where it is difficult to not be seen! The Sun, the ruler of Leo, is also changing signs, moving from the hot waters of Scorpio into the realm of our highest beliefs and ideals in Sagittarius. This is a tricky leap of faith, as our power and authority cross the Gandanta point with no guiding star! This is a karmic knot that can keep you twisted if you can’t untangle the root of what moves you. Dream big, and dig deep!

Weekly Forecast for all 12 Rising Signs!
*Please note: these are written for use with Vedic (sidereal) rising signs. If you do not know the time of birth, you can read for your Moon and receive psychological awareness. These will not work for Western (tropical) zodiac placements.

Aries: This week begins with you at home and finding peace in your heart and then begins to focus your energy on your creativity, what you truly love and the value it has for you. This is a big theme for you right now, as your ruler is internalizing in the house of values and you are being asked to review what you have considered important, as well as how you determine your own wealth. The weekend will bring hard work and blessings of hope and will reward you with some beautiful and alluring relating on Sunday;-)

Taurus: This week starts off with you feeling like you are moving one step forward and then falling two steps back. Allow yourself to feel all the feels. As the Moon transits your 4th house on Tuesday to Thursday, the feelings may go from sad to mad, so slow your roll and stay with yourself. This can be a great time to get to work on any projects from home or to practice yoga, exercise, meditation, and cook! On Thursday evening, your 4th lord is moving into the 8th, joining your ruling planet Venus and Mercury, so be prepared for sudden shifts with your home or car and try to trust that in the end, it will all be ok. By the weekend, you will be feeling more playful and hopefully can dive into what you love despite the chaos!

Gemini: The week is beginning with you heavily focused on your values and probably money. As the week moves forward, your Will will be King! Watch out for being too willful or forceful, particularly with your words. As the week surrenders into weekend, you will likely need some rest. Perhaps organizing the home space and sorting out your feelings will be in order. Sunday, look to get playful:)

Cancer: This week begins very self-focused and probably wearing your heart on your face:) As Tuesday comes, expect to get more fired up about finances and responsibilities as your 10th lord of career is giving energy to your ruling planet (the Moon) in your 2nd house of money and values. What do you truly value? Right now you are really building up energy in the realm of community and wanting to manifest your creative potential from that place. Expect to have to put in some elbow grease when your 2nd lord moves into the 6th on Thursday! It is hard work to build your dreams:)

Leo: This week is a big one for you, Leo, as the Moon is riding on your rising from Tuesday through Thursday, wearing your *hidden* heart on your sleeve, and then your ruling planet, the Sun itself, is moving signs from the 4th house of home to the 5th house of children and creativity. Expect to feel unsettled but also it is a leap into more fun. Your 10th lord Venus is already there, joined your 2nd lord, Mercury, so career, money and now you, are all manifesting from what you love. Gotta dig up some roots to plant the seeds of what you truly want!

Virgo; The week is beginning with a focus on community and then you can expect a period of having to really move through some disappointment and loss around community as the Moon transits your 12th house. You may have some unresolved feelings of anger around this. This is a week to just surrender and let go. As the weekend comes, you’ll feel your people coming to you, even as you will desire to make your home a little escape hatch from life with your 12th lord moving into join your ruling planet and Venus in the 4th house of home. Look for the root of what brings you peace, what you believe and how you find your value in the world.

Libra: The week is beginning with your attention on career and your status and recognition in the world. As you move through the week, you will find that from your community, your tribe. As the Sun transits into your 3rd house, notice your tendency to be willful about creating your tribe, about your identity, beliefs, and notice the disappointment and unexpected turmoil it can cause in your life if you’re not careful. Now is a good time to plant seeds of efforts that align with what you truly believe and what transformation you wish to make personally and collectively.

Scorpio: The week is beginning with you feeling like a counselor and moving into a focus on your career. When the Sun moves off your rising sign and into the 2nd house on Thursday night, you will fid that the focus is largely on money and how that translates to meeting your external responsibilities and maintaining your status. This is a period of focus on money and family values, even while your ruling planet continues to retrograde in the 7th house of partnerships. Nothing is manifesting on that front, yet everything is backing up. For now, just allow your energy to go where it knows and the time will come when your relationships will finally move forward, for better or worse.

Sagittarius: This is the beginning of a chapter about yourself, and while you have already had hard work, community, partnerships and career move into your first house, they will now be joined by your very powerful beliefs and teachings. Allow yourself to examine the roots of what you believe and let that inform all the other areas of your life. As the Moon is your 8th lord, you are always transforming through something different every few days, and this week it will be the universal realm of higher teachings, career and community.

Capricorn: You have also had a full ship recently Capricorn, and now the planets are off-loading into your 12th house of escape, loss and surrender. It is time to rest. You may find disappointment if you don’t find allowance, so soften your lines, my hard-working friend and let yourself be a little lazy. The focus (and pressure) is still on you, but you can allow many areas of your life to quietly take a nap right now, while your partner or other relationships tend to the various other areas of your life. Rest easy!

Aquarius: While your ruling planet still resides in your 12th house of escape for another month, your planets of home, beliefs and teachings, and now partnerships are all moving into the 11th house of community, so expect company, whether you’re ready or not! Meanwhile the Moon regularly moving through the sky shows how much work you are always doing in service of all the areas of your life and this week it will be largely focused on the work you do for others, particularly partners.

Pisces: For you this week begins on a sweet note, where you feel your ruling planet’s gaze right on the Moon in your 5th house of creativity and children and then mid week you have to work for what to love. You may find some inner anger arises, but your strong beliefs will help channel this into productive effort. By the weekend, you will be ready to hang out with your partner or other relationships and blow off some steam, but you will only relax so much because your planet of hard work, the Sun, will enter your 10th house of career, and you will have to start digging in the dirt for your worldly responsibilities!

Full Moon in Rohini: Innocence Surrendered

12/6/2022

Picture
On Wednesday, December 7 at 6:08 pm HT (8:08 pm PDT) the Moon and Sun will be exactly across from each other in the star of Rohini in sidereal Taurus. Rohini is the rosy, red maiden ripe with sensuality. Her curse is simply being so desired. She can inspire infatuation and jealousy and with Mars Retrograde in almost exact degrees as the Moon, she can also be holding a lot of built up anger and resentment!

Now is a time to sit with our feeling and find the shadow in them, as the Sun is across the way shining light in the star of the eldest, Jyestha at the end of Scorpio. In the greater society, or even our own families and communities we may see this polarity of the one who must maintain their position of excellence and dominance versus the one who just shows up and is attractive and charming and sought after. We also may see it played out as aggressive and dominant forces “chaining” innocent beauty, but the real question is, can we see this contradiction within ourselves? Within each of us is the maiden who is just showing up in our true bliss, joy and innocence and yet is being demonized or corrected by another part of us that has learned the rules and is jaded and fearful like Jyestha. Do we tend to tie our own beauty up in chains?

Should we take direction from the more domineering part of us that is seeing shadows as monsters, or sometimes can we allow the foot-loose and fancy free part of us to lead the way? With Mars’ influence here, particularly retrograde, we have an opportunity to dive deep into our own shadows and face our deepest fears like true warriors. True vulnerability takes courage. More courage than to fight in a world that is largely built upon defense, offense and mistrust. Can we stay in the moment? Can we stay present with what is in our physical form and allow it to inform our feeling nature? Can we trust ourselves enough in the moment to not first send out a preemptive defense squad or restrict our own every movement in fear it will lead us to be hurt?

The Moon is exalted in Taurus precisely because of the capacity to stay with the body as we move through our feelings. In Taurus if we feel anxiety or fear or sadness, we can make ourselves a delicious meal, put our hands in the earth, take a bath, make love or create beautiful art. We occupy the body in a way that helps the mind and emotions find peace. This is exactly opposite our New Moon we just had in the tumultuous and emotion-driven waters of Scorpio where we take our mind for a roller coaster ride with every emotion. Now is the time for perspective. Let the Sun shine light on the shadows and bring them up to integrate. Allow your deepest fears to rise into the light. Allow your perceived enemies too also. Anything left behind or stuffed back into the shadows will mutate and so will everything else, for every single quality and material manifestation of a quality has a rightful place in the great mandala of your life.

With Venus just joined Mercury in Sagittarius, in the star Mula “the root”, we have an opportunity to examine the root cause of our relational struggles. Where did they begin? With us, a specific trauma, or wound from childhood? Or with our lineage, from society as a whole, or even previous lives? It is important to know what we are founding our beliefs on, particularly in relation to how we show up with others. Not a single one of us is exempt from this wounding and to choose not to understand it is to choose not to heal. Be mindful of spiritual bypassing in communication as well as with your own triggers and traumas as they arise. Allowing all of it a seat at your table, and a place in your heart. We are here to heal, not to be right.

Many Blessings on your Full Moon !

The Stars this Week 12/5-12/11: The Other Side of Anger is Peace

12/5/2022

Picture
This week begins with the Moon passing Rahu the North node in exact conjunction in the star of Bharani in Aries. Bharani is about creativity/sex, life and death and the north node promotes confusion and anger about that confusion. This can also bring incredible insights on new pathways of karma you are opening, if you can remain centered. If possible, take some time to sit with your feelings and perhaps the portal from where they first emerged and how they relate to your deeper fears around control and death. Maybe even write it out before speaking to others! Venus has also now moved into Sagittarius, bringing our relationships to join our communication into the realm of beliefs and ideals. While this may sound uplifting, it can also be a recipe for bypassing ourselves and others, so don’t forget to tap under the surface of your beliefs! When the Moon moves into Krittika, we will likely feel the urge to cut-off anything that doesn’t serve our inner peace but also the capacity to really “see” the truth of what illusions we have been praying to. The Taurus portion of this star, is where the Moon is in her most exalted state, and will bring more calm, peace and grounding to our psyche, despite moving into the space of the sky Mars is currently residing. Our full Moon is on Wednesday, December 7th and brings the Moon is exact conjunction with Mars Retrograde in Rohini, right across from our Sun in Jyestha. Rohini is the ripe, red maiden and Jyestha is the eldest sister, right across the way. This can be a time that raises competition and jealousy, as well as anger over how women are objectified. As the Moon moves into Gemini, for the weekend, we might go beyond our values and what is comfortable. Be mindful of the stories you create in your mind, and try to focus on creating understanding and learning new skills from an objective state of mind. Sunday will bring us into our feelings with the Moon in her own sign of Cancer, with a sweet dristhi from Jupiter in Pisces, giving us inspiration, connectivity and innate wisdom.

Aries
Aries, for you this week begins with the Moon joining the north node on your Lagna, so you might find that you are really wearing your heart on your sleeve and it could get pretty fiery and explosive. Use any and all techniques and practices you have to bring yourself back to calm and center! As you move through the week, the focus will shift to your finances and values and what you can do to up level your skill set, but you will still feel your emotions very close to your person as your ruling planet is joining the Moon for this Full Moon. By Sunday, you will be ready for some much-needed peace and rest at home.

Taurus
Taurus, this week begins with the Moon joining Rahu in your 12th house of illusion and disappointment, and peaks in the middle with the Full Moon right on your rising sign, joining Mars, your planet of Relationships. Your ruling planet is also joining your 2nd and 5th lord in the 8th, while your 7th lord Mars is still retrograde in your 1st, so fears and fantasies, romance and sex can take over your mind. Emotions can also run high if you let them. Tune into your generally peaceable nature and do the things you do that keep you grounded. Grow, Cook, Eat, Take baths, Stay in your Body and allow yourself to responsibly share what comes up for you with others, but take the time to sit with it first. Finding Peace in your heart is essential right now, and it is not actually other people that give this to you. It is you honoring your own feelings and staying with them, regardless of what is happening around you. As the week progresses towards end, you will be focused on your values and money and finally to the inspiration you need to move beyond what is comfortable to the next level.

Gemini
Gemini, for you, this week begins with a hyper-focus on community and the bigger picture and ends with the personal, as the Moon moves into your first house after the Full Moon. Since the Full Moon is happening in your 12th house, be mindful of the illusions (and delusions) you hold around society and its ills, as Mars is joining this Moon as your 6th and 11th lord. You may feel a lot of disappointment in how your values are perceived to be unmatched to what you are seeing play out in greater society, but much of this is actually from deep in your own subconscious. With your ruling planet and 5th and 12th lord in your 7th right now, you are projecting quite a bit on others, and perhaps making assumptions based on old beliefs as well. Take some time in meditation and try to find the root of your opinions.

Cancer
Cancer, this week begins with an exaggerated feeling of how much responsibility you hold and a lot of illusions around that as the Moon, your ruling planet joins Rahu in the 10th house. The Full Moon is happening in your 11th house of community and highest ambitions, so this will reflect back to you how you can take those responsibilities and shift them to make a greater societal impact. The weekend may bring some feelings of disappointment, as the Moon transits into your 12th house of illusion and disappointment. Don’t be surprised if you feel like escaping. Don’t worry, you will feel more yourself by Sunday as the Moon comes home into your first house, where your feeling nature and identity will be connected as one.

Leo
Leo, for you this week begins with a flash of inspiration and wisdom and moves into a Full Moon in your 10th house of Career and responsibility. This will reflect the ways in which you have been prioritizing peace over work and how the one actually facilitates the other. The work you do in the outside world upholds your peace and without a peaceful home base, it can be difficult to be centered enough to take care of what you need to. As the Moon traverses into Gemini for the weekend, expect to spend more time in community and also becoming aware of the ways in which groups of people can drain your energy if they are not working towards your highest ambitions for society at large.

Virgo
For you, Virgo, the week begins with a lot of chaos and the need to face some new fears around control and lack thereof. The Full Moon, however, will be in your 9th house of wisdom, truth and higher teachings, so the reflection is to allow room for faith as well as effort. The weekend will bring you back into your sense of responsibility. Since your ruling planet is in the 4th right now, home is very “up” for you and the inherent relationship with how you make your way in the world. Notice that you need one to have the other:) As you move into Sunday, you will find yourself wanting to get out an about and mingle.

Libra
Libra the week begins with a super focus on your relationships, especially as they relate to your work. Your ruling planet has also just moved into the 3rd, so you are going to be more willful in everything you do. Be mindful not to hyper focus on the emotions, or what you need to “get” from others. As the Full Moon is happening in your 8th house, you should definitely expect the unexpected. The cycle for you has been one of security and finances, and this is going to shine light on that which you do not have control over! If you focus on the transformation, as opposed to the results, you will find much more ease and grace. The week ends with a highlight on wisdom, teachings and your beliefs and seeing your responsibility through that lens.

Scorpio
For you, Scorpio, this cycle has been all about you and others, with the emphasis on yourself. Now you get to experience the reflection of your partner or others and finding some wisdom in compromise and harmonizing with another. What do you have to learn from the person in front of you? The week begins with the hard work and service you feel like you are constantly navigating, and moves into your house of Relationships for the Full Moon, with the Moon joining your ruling planet in exact degrees. Things may get a little wild as you move into the weekend, and you might be forced to transform, along with your beliefs. As you move into the next cycle of money and finance, finding ways to let go of control is going to be instrumental. Your value is not in your diabolical controlling power, it is in that which inspires you and your creative energy.

Sagittarius
This week, begins for you Sagittarius, with the Moon in your 5th house of children and creativity and the ruling planet of your 7th and 10th houses being joined by your 6th and 11th lord on your rising sign. You are beginning with a full house! Focusing on what you love and allowing your relationships and career to support you are key right now. Don’t be surprised if you also find yourself mired in some kind of stress from your community or society at large. This Full Moon is a reflection of the hard work and inimical energy you feel from groups of people and the loss you experience in wasting your time on those who don’t have aligned beliefs. As you move into the weekend, the focus will shift to just your real one on one relationships and how just bringing yourself into harmony with one other person can transform you.

Capricorn
Capricorn, this week is starting off with the focus heavily on the home, and through that experiencing your relationships. Be mindful not to exaggerate the emotions of your partner or others and to focus instead on your own inner peace. With your yoga karaka planet, Venus moving into your 12th house, you may feel disappointment and loss around your creativity and career/status/recognition in the next few weeks. Allow yourself to sit with feelings of loss and find surrender. This is also a time to surrender beliefs and allow life to take its course. The Moon will be full in your 5th house of children and creativity, highlighting the apex of the cycle of community and highest ambitions. With your 4th lord joined the Moon, your 7th lord, you will find your that through what you love and create you find connection, and peace.

Aquarius
This week is beginning with a lot of will determination for you, Aquarius, as your 6th lord, the Moon joins Rahu in the 3rd. Mind your emotions, as you might create undue stress and work for yourself, as well as some enemies! The Moon will be full in your 4th house of home, mother and peace, and joined your 10th lord of Career and status/recognition. Since Mars is still Retrograde, best to just ruminate on how through your home (or inner peace) you can meet your external responsibilities. Your planet of both home and dharma is moving into the 11th, joining your 5th and 8th lord, so you can also expect to get moved more into the public eye, particularly relating to your creativity or children, whether you are ready or not!

Pisces
The week begins with a focus on money and value for you Pisces, and moves into the Full Moon in your house of will and ego joined your 9th lord. Be careful of being too bullish, as you might cause yourself more work in the end! This is a reflection point in a cycle of faith and inspiration, where you remember what you must also do with your own two hands. When the weekend comes, stay home and find peace. With Venus just moved into your 10th, and joining Mercury, you will have plenty of work to do in the coming weeks!
