This week we start off with Jupiter and Mercury in close degrees, connecting our higher wisdom and our discernment in the star of Revati, where we help each other find peace. The Sun is nearby, offering connection to Source. We can embody power and leadership by swimming with the tides, rather than fighting the current.
Venus has passed Rahu at this point, and some of our illusions around our relationships and happiness may be dissolving. She is in the star of Bharani now, so we have to be particularly aware of our creative and sexual energy and where we are channeling it. Finding the balance between holding boundaries and allowing the energy to flow is the key to our creative pleasure.
Our Moon is traveling from late degrees Taurus into Gemini on Monday on the star Mrigasira, “the Searching Star”. Notice what you are seeking and recognize if it is outside or inside of you that it resides. The entire universe resides inside our minds and so does the capacity to change it. Tuesday, the Moon moves into Ardra joining Mars and we may encounter a storm or two. Focusing our mind on what we want, rather than what we don’t want can be helpful, as this is what we will propagate.
On the 30th, the Moon moves into Cancer and we will be more in our feelings than our mind. This begs the question is what we think more true than what we feel? This day, Mercury also transits into Aries, joining Venus and Rahu. This creates an exchange of signs between Mars and Mercury. It is important to share with others how we feel if we desire true connection. It is equally important to meet others with presence when they are sharing themselves.
April 1st and 2nd the Moon is traveling through Leo, bringing us back into our power and authority. If it is informed by a clear mind and the capacity to sit with our feelings, we can truly be kings and queens of our own being, the only domain we can ever actually rule.
Read on to find out how this week's transits affect you and your specific sign!
Forecast for all 12 Signs
*Note: this is written for Vedic (sidereal) rising signs. IF you don't know your time of birth you can use your Vedic Moon sign for psychological effect. This will not work with the Western (tropical) zodiac.
For you, this week is one that is testing your capacity to hold your relationships in integrity through communication. It is not always your words that draw others close, Aries, and this may be the time to really learn how to communicate to connect, rather than to be right.
This week is taking your from your identity into your heart. While there may be a lot of illusions you have around yourself, there is also a lot of insight. Try to sit with the uncomfortable, rather than using external comforts to escape.
This week is offering you a chance to rectify any challenges you have been navigating around communication, particularly when you’re ruling planet moves into Aries on the 30th and is exchanging signs with Mars. Mental games are fun, but depth of connection and communication is what builds a true community.
You are being tested this week to see how you can take all the wisdom you hold and allow it to activate in your interactions. Your sensitivity is a gift. Share it with others and allow it to be the healing balm to all that you feel anxious about not having “achieved” yet.
This week is one of drawing from the collective into the self for you. Your power is in your capacity to serve and show up for others and your community. It is important to take the temperature of how well you’re doing that and to adjust accordingly. Courage is choosing to face your biggest fears and transform. This is your path at the moment.
For you this week is an opportunity to focus on what your gifts are in the universal realm, while finding some surrender in interpersonal relationships. When your ruling planet, Mercury moves into Aries on the 30th, you will begin a period of facing fear that someone you love might leave you and sitting with how that feels. Be careful not to project the future upon others. Ask questions. Listen. Give others a chance to share their own perspective.
This week is one of transformation, higher wisdom, status and recognition and community. Your obsessive focus on intimate relationships is obscuring how much you can achieve in the greater world. The more you wield your power in the world at large, the more you will find that others will naturally magnetize towards you.
This week is asking you to find the dharma in the drama. If life feels chaotic and out of your control, then allow yourself to surrender to not knowing. Others also don’t know. They do not hold any more power or control than you do, so trust in your feelings and share them. The worst that can happen is you lose something that was never yours to begin with.
The week ahead is one that allows your relationships to blossom some creativity, and your creativity to allow you to be of service. The Moon is transiting through your houses that focus on Others this week, so work on harmonizing over being right. By the weekend, you will move into a space of grace. This is your last month with so much energy in the home, and right now there is a lot moving through this house. Enjoy your blessings!
This week is one of creative desire, hard work and relationships and it will end with some personal transformation. What have you been learning? Now is a time of great curiosity and learning for you, and while some of it may be disappointing, much of it will be valuable. Focus on a daily meditation routine and then see what blooms from your heart when you let your desires out to play!
This week the Moon is traveling through your houses of home, creativity/children, hard work and service and lands in the house of relationships for the weekend. You are finding your value and your values right now and they are bringing you what your desire. Ultimately, you are a hard-working soul and you deserve the appreciation and recognition you are finally receiving!
This week is one of finding what you love through effort, peace, creativity and hard work. You are receiving some blessings (and money) through the home at the moment and this is the last month you will have your ruling planet in the first and the focus on yourself and your reputation after a year. Embrace who you are, your home, your relationships and even the hardship you have experienced. It’s all part of the ride!
To take a deep dive into your natal chart and all the transits and cycles,
On Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 7:22 am HT (10:22 am PST) our Sun and Moon are joined together for a New Moon cycle in Uttarabhadrapada in Pisces. This is the “Later Blessed Step” where we do the work of deepening our understanding of the awakening we had in the previous asterism, Purva Bhadrapada. There we had a lightning bolt of insight into the truth of who we are beneath our bodies and minds and here we must dive down into the depths of our own emotions to uncover what poisons in our subconscious are keeping us from this truth every day. Uttarabhadrapada is ruled by Ahir Budhyna, the serpent of the deep and indicates the path is through the poison to reach the Amrita, the immortal nectar of bliss.
With Mercury joined in this nakshatra, our intellect is willing to erase all the lines of cohesion in order to surrender into this truth, but our capacity to understand and communicate what we are experiencing may be less clear, as this is also Mercury’s most challenged place in the sky. Jupiter is also joined here, in the star of Revati, reminding us that peace is just around the corner if we can only get out of our own way. This is a good time to consult your dreams for the answers, as they are hidden from where our intellect can grasp. Hypnotherapy or somatic therapies can also be helpful.
With Venus closely joined Rahu in Aries, we may be so focused on our own spiritual awakening and the messages we believe we are receiving about relationships, that we forget to actually relate to others. Projections are likely in this climate, so beware that much of what you are perceiving, particularly in regards to others may not be true at all. You can receive the messages and also delay acting on them. Saturn is giving his cold, practical gaze here, reminding us to release our attachments to people, ideas and outcomes, but also perhaps increasing an anxiety or fear associated with our perceptions.
Mars is now squarely in Gemini and our need to be mindful of our communication is high. Disciplining our tongue can be difficult but if we set a goal to do this, it can be a way to channel Mars’ fire into something worthwhile. This can also be a good time to compete in mental games or to take a test. With this alignment we can quickly sort through facts and ideas and are inspired to “win”. The shadow side is cutting or harsh speech, arguing and a tendency to see things as this way or that, right or wrong, lacking nuance or perspective. This can be a particular challenge for relating to others and given the state of Venus, we may find ourselves or others setting our relationships on fire.
This New Moon also marks the beginning of Chaitra Navaratri, the nine nights of the Divine Mother that comes with Spring Equinox in the northern hemisphere. Goddess Durga slays the shape-shifting demon and then breathes him back into her being, showing us that even the darkest parts of ourselves are welcome here.
Jai Ma! & Blessed New Moon!

To take a deep dive into your own transits, tendencies and cycles
This week begins with the Spring Equinox. As the Sun begins to shine brighter, our Moon is fading to dark through the star of Purva Bhadrapada, where we experience a flash of the great awakening. Meditate on your attachments, particularly to your form and see if you can “see” your Self behind yourself.
The New Moon in Pisces is Tuesday, March 21st and will be in Uttara Bhadrapada, where we have to swim in the deep waters for a prolonged amount of time if we want to truly wake up. With Jupiter and Mercury joined our Sun & Moon, our intellect and higher wisdom are fully on-board with our mind and consciousness, but what about our relationships?
Unfortunately Venus is exact with Rahu in Aries and we may be seeing others through a distorted and magnified lens. If you think your partner is being selfish, notice the ways in which you may also be. Also, think before you speak. Mars in Gemini is pulling us into an argumentative dynamic and Mercury is debilitated in Pisces, causing us some confusion with our words. If we can remember our truth while staying with our own emotions and experiences, and not blaming or projecting on others, then we have truly integrated our spiritual practices. If we can only be at peace when others are not agitating us, then we must dive even deeper yet.
This theme progresses and exacerbates as the Moon moves into Aries to join Rahu on the 23rd and 24th. On the 25th, we finally ground down with our mind and emotions in their most stable and authentic place in Taurus. Here we can *mostly* focus on what we need to feel good, although the star of exaltation, Krittika, is the star where we “cut off” from others, particularly partners, and considering Venus, the ruler of Taurus is in the 12th house of this Moon joined Rahu, we may find our peace comes through separation. Sunday, the Moon moves into Rohini, where we may be driven by desire, jealousy or lust. Just remember sweet bull, the grass is not always greener on the other side…but sometimes it is.
Read on to find out what the week & the New Moon cycle holds for your specific sign! Plus, healing tips for each sign for the month:)
Forecast for Each Rising Sign
(Plus Healing Tips for the New Cycle ahead!)
*Note these are for Vedic (sidereal) rising signs. If you don't know it, go here to find out! If you don't have your time of birth, use your Vedic Moon for a psychological effect. Western (tropical) signs won't work.
The week begins with you circling back to community and your bigger vision, and noticing how you have grown in the last month. Tuesday and Wednesday you can expect to want to check out and escape. Pay attention to your dreams at this time as you are starting a new cycle of letting go and surrender. There is a lot you are avoiding right now, but you relationships are not one of them. With Venus riding in your first house joined Rahu, your identity is wrapped up in your relations (and your value), and there is quite a lot of projection and confusion here! There may be stops and starts of new relationships, or established ones. With your ruler in the 3rd now, you are trying to will your way through upending disaster. Is it working? Maybe some new communication skills are in order?
Healing Tips: Time to journal and pay attention to your dreams! Doing the deep inner work while also learning some new relationship skills will be helpful. If you are in a relationships, consider bringing your coupleship to a class, group or counselor. If you’re dating, try to take the time to get to know someone.
The week starts off for you with you circling back to your focus on career and your responsibilities. Have you taken care of business this last month? Tuesday’s New Moon brings you a new cycle of community and your highest worldly ambition. This will involve home, children, creativity, communication and facing your fears to transform. As your ruling planet has just joined Rahu in your 12th, you can also expect to be strongly avoiding anything that smacks of too much work or effort. In this time, this can actually work in your favor, but the more you can cultivate healthier ways of escaping, and communicating, the better off you and your relationships will fare!
Healing tips: This cycle is asking you to dream big and write it down! Your highest ambitions can feel murky at times, so cultivate some clarity. Learn to be precise with your visions, words and ideas and they will manifest much quicker and effortlessly. Also, you’ll get what you actually want:)
The week begins for you with a circling back to review on your higher beliefs and wisdom. Take measure of where you’ve grown and where you have stagnated. The New Moon Tuesday is setting off a cycle focused on your career, status and responsibilities, and your ruling planet is there too! Blessings can come from others and your home in this time, but you also must be mindful of Mars on your rising sign for the next two months. You may come off as aggressive or unsympathetic if you’re not careful!
Healing Tips: This new cycle is one of responsibilities, so start filling out your calendar and start a schedule. It can be easy for you to get side-tracked, so lists, planners and story boards are all helpful. Also try to get out in public and mingle some.
The week starts off with a focus on your fears, coming full circle from the New Moon last month. Do you feel more free? Try sitting with your anxious and fearful feelings instead of avoiding them. The New Moon brings a cycle of truth and wisdom that can help you access your identity, value, and some surrender. Perhaps you can even find your voice to share your wisdom with others. You may find yourself feeling some obsession over home and a desire to move over the next few weeks. Allow yourself to sit with this before making any big decisions. Also note any hidden anger and perhaps write down your dreams to work it out.
Healing Tips: This is a great time to follow a teacher, take a class or read a philosophical book that helps remind you of your dharma, your true path. Practice is the path, so begin now!
The week begins with you coming back to your relationships. What have you learned, if anything? If you are still creating enemies out of what used to be lovers or friends, you need to look at patterns you are repeating. This New Cycle is one of transformation, facing your fears and surrendering control. This is no easy feat for the lion, don’t lose yourself in the process. Venus and Rahu in Aries may have you obsessing over how taking care of your responsibilities can uphold your beliefs and ideals and Mars in your 11th is reminding you of the resource of the collective. You don’t have to do it all yourself, but you do have to be willing to compromise.
Healing Tips: This is a time of surrender and the evolution of your fear. Metaphysical studies like astrology, transcendental meditation, tantra and energy work can all be helpful here. So can plant allies. This is a time to dive deep into your shadow and find liberation there.
The week starts off with you circling back around to the hard work and service you must show up for in the world. Have you been tending to the details? The New Moon on Tuesday brings a cycle of partnership and relationships, connecting you with community, recognition, your own identity and also some disappointment or confusion. As your planet of transformation is transiting the 10th for two months, and your 9th lord of higher learning in your 8th, you may experience sudden unexpected events and shifting beliefs in the ways you take care of your responsibilities in life.
Healing Tips: This is a time for relating to others. If you are in a relationship, try going out to different places in your community and talking about what you envision for the future. If you are single join a dating site, or go to activities in your community where like-minded people might be.
The week starts off with coming full circle back to your creativity and children. Where have you come? Have you been enjoying life and what you love? The New Cycle is one of hard work and effort for you, and will incorporate your career and status, community and also being in service to your higher beliefs. By showing up for the details, you will avoid some loss and disappointment. Your ruling planet in the 7th joined Rahu is causing some obsession of how other people see you in your relationships and some of your biggest fears are coming to the surface. Meanwhile, a lot of grace is running in this area and you may just meet someone through a class or something aligned with your beliefs.
Healing Tips: This s a time of service and hard work. Volunteer for a cause close to your heart. Or begin a new dietary regimen or cleanse. This can be a good time for financial accounting as well. Mend any outstanding disagreements with others and be mindful about starting new ones.
The week starts off with a revisit of home. Do you feel more peace in your heart? If the answer is no, you may want to consider sitting quietly with yourself and getting real about your feelings. The New Moon is beginning a cycle of creativity, children and anything you love like a child. Through this you will be experiencing facing some fears around community, your status and recognition and your value, as well as connecting to your higher beliefs. With your planet of relationships in the 6th joined Rahu, you will likely be focusing on how it is through work and service that you experience your relationships. Transformation is imminent and you can choose if you want to surrender to the chaos or fight it but either way you are not in control!
Healing Tips: This cycle is all about creativity! Get out the crayons, the clay and your imagination and begin making whatever your heart calls you to. Have fun, be playful and spend time around children if possible. Creativity is also a sexual energy, see if you can find pleasure in everything you do.
The week begins with a cycling back to where you began a month ago, looking at how willful you can be and how much you place your value on what you do with your own two hands. Have you learned any new skills yet? The New Moon is a cycle of home and finding peace. This is a powerful cycle for you as your ruling planet (your identity) is joined, as well as your planet of partners and status/recognition, and your planet of higher learning and dharma. Through partners you may get creative or find yourself spending time with children over the next couple months and sometimes it will feel like a lot of work!
Healing Tips: This is a cycle where meditation can help you greatly. This can also be a time to reorganize your home space, create a meditation sanctuary with candles and sage or cedar, and allow more space and energy to flow within it.
This week starts off with you coming back to the theme that began the past month, your value and how it is deeply intertwined with your identity. This New Cycle is one of willfulness and learning something new. Remember that while we do need to have a will to live and learn, we are not the doers ultimately, and we must detach from the results of our efforts. With your planet of disappointment, your planet of sudden unexpected events, as well as your planet of hard work and service here, this may be a challenging cycle where you have no choice but to learn this lesson in non-attachment. With Venus, the ruler of your creativity and career in the 4th, home is where the heart is and also the inspirational juice. Time to ditch the seriousness, get out the crayons and start coloring from the heart!
Healing Tips: This is a good time to learn a new skill or up level your old skills. Try to detach from the results of your efforts and just find the enjoyment in new interests and learning. This can be easier said than done, so allow some of what you learn to be about surrendering your will to something larger than yourself.
The week begins with you circling back to the theme of the month, You! How are you? Did you survive being focused on yourself? Ready for two more years of that? This New Cycle’s theme is your value. You will come face to face with your value in community, children/creativity and also your one-to-one relationships. Your creative energy is bringing you status and recognition right now. You are also feeling hyper focused on up-leveling home, peace in your heart and your wisdom or teachings at the moment.
Healing Tips: This cycle is all about your value. See if you can track it in different ways; financially, with your possessions and things you buy, what your values are (family and otherwise), how much you charge for your work (or are paid), and finally your self-worth. This is the key to the kingdom.
This week begins with a revisit to the past month’s theme of surrender and loss. The New Cycle is one of your identity and your status and recognition through that, as well as your relationships, home, children/creativity and the hard work you must do to maintain all of that!
You may find some upsets financially and some intensity in the home, but that will bring you closer to your truth and your higher calling, so warrior up and remember that the good fight is not one that takes place between people.
Healing Tips: This is a new cycle on the self and will incorporate all the things you have experienced over the previous cycles. See if you can take stock of those before jump-starting into a new version of you. Journaling and remaining present in each moment can be helpful.
To take a deep dive into your personal chart and transits
The Week begins with the Moon in Anuradha in Scorpio, with a one way gaze from Jupiter in Pisces, where we have a chance to elevate our whirlwind of emotions to a devotion in something bigger than ourselves. With Venus and Mars both having just moved from feminine to masculine signs, we may find ourselves more assertive in matters of romance as well as conversation. Mercury is very close to the Sun and hemmed between Saturn and the Sun, so we may also feel as though we are not being heard, particularly by people in authority. You could use that as an opportunity to speak louder and more direct, or you could discipline yourself to think or journal before you share your thoughts with others. Be mindful that what you are perceiving is not always true. The root of the word discipline is “disciple” and perhaps the real question is, “what can I learn here?”
The Moon moves out of Scorpio late afternoon on Tuesday into Sagittarius, where we might find ourselves inspired by our beliefs, or other cultures and religions. We also may find ourselves feeling argumentative about these things as Mars is across the way in Gemini, giving us a more black and white perspective. This same day the Sun transits into Pisces, bringing our power into the realm of spirit. The deeper we can surrender, the higher we are able to connect to the source of all things. Mercury joins the Sun and Jupiter into the emotional waters of Pisces on Wednesday, where our communication can become lost at sea
In the evening of March 16th the Moon transits into Capricorn, still receiving a one-way gaze from Mars. We may feel a lot of pressure to get things done, but lack the motivation or skills to put one foot in front of the other. Try swimming instead. We are in an interesting push and pull between fire and water right now and the practical realm of the Makara (sea goat/crocodile) offers us agility on both land and water. It can be easy to get lost in our emotions and fired up over anything, so be patient with yourself and others.
The night of March 18th the Moon joins Saturn in Aquarius for the next couple days, ending the weekend, back where our month began; able to perceive what the future needs, and humble and willing to commit to it.
Read on to find out the forecast for your specific sign, including how Venus & Mars changing signs affects you personally!
Forecast for all 12 Signs
*These are for Vedic (sidereal) rising signs. If you don't have your time of birth, use your Moon sign instead for psychological affect. Western (tropical) signs will not work at all.
The week begins with the Moon in your 8th house of transformation and your relationship planet now moved into your first house, joining Rahu. Expect the unexpected but also be aware that you may be seeing things as bigger than they are and it is always a good time to check in with others before making assumptions. Your ruling planet is now also in the 3rd house of will and determination and you may be feeling like being right is most important, but what would increase your happiness would be learning new communication skills. The week progresses to focus on your more public presence and what you bring to the world at large.
This week is the start of a few weeks where you may struggle staying present. This has already been a bit of an issue over the past year as Rahu has been in your 12th house, but with your ruling planet visiting, it will be even more challenging to show up for the details in all areas of your life. Since your relationship planet has just moved into the 2nd, perhaps focusing on communication skills, and any other regular discipline you can adopt can help channel this energy into something healthy, as opposed to addictive tendencies. Think yoga, silent meditation, journaling about your dreams and cleanses.
This is the beginning of a transit of Mars in your first house until May 9th. This can bring some aggression to your usually flexible personality, as you may find yourself more mired in “right” and “wrong” than the flow of information. Mars is also your 6th and 11th lord, and indicates issues you may have with groups of people or society at large. The Moon is transiting your houses of “others” this week, bringing you into the hard work of compromise and the personal transformation that occurs when you face your fears and remember your higher wisdom.
The week begins with your planet of career and children/creativity having just entered your 12th house of disappointment and escape for the next two months. This will impact your ability to feel good about your work in the world, but will also give you an opportunity to release some attachments you have to your status and reputation.. With your 4th and 11th lord moved into the 10th, It is time to set to work on bigger ambitions that will help society and also perhaps related to home, motherhood, or meditation.
For you the week is beginning with a need to reach out to community and get in touch with what your biggest ambitions are and to use that network and impetus to dive closer to your truth and finding peace in your heart. This can also bring you some grace around home and land. Your career planet is moving into the 9th, so you will also have this grace flowing to help your career move in a direction aligned with your higher meaning and purpose. Allow the affects of this full moon waning back to where the month began to remind you of the power of your identity and the need to be present in your relationships.
This week starts out with some upsets in your career and your willful nature coming to battle with your deepest fears and insecurities. This will be a lesson you are working through the next two months, so buckle in for the ride. Your planet of higher wisdom and personal value is transiting this 8th house of transformation too, so expect the unexpected and be willing to release control. You ultimately have no choice but to accept with grace or kicking and screaming. This is an important lesson for you, and coming on the heels of a full moon in your 12th house, it is important that you recognize the ways in which you have not been fully present with reality. The Sun as your 12th lord is also moving into your 7th house on March 14th, so relationships may prove disappointing or based in fantasy over the next few weeks.
For you, the shifts of Venus and Mars are about self and others. You are moving into an even heavier focus on relationships. Your obsession over others is unleveling to some action in the next few weeks. On the other hand, your relationship planet, Mars just moved into your 9th house of higher wisdom and so it is by staying true to your beliefs and ideals that you will find the best connection with others. The Moon is transiting through your realm of houses related to the Self, so perhaps its time to really look back at yourself and how you show up for others. Are you always the one in charge of making sure everyone else is ok? Do you share your own needs, desires and feelings too, or just tend to everyone else’s? Get in touch with what you really want and need and write it down.
For you the shift of Mars into Gemini, means you are finally shifting from trying so hard to make your relationships work, to accepting the lack of control you ultimately have over others. You have no choice. Simultaneously, your relationship planet is causing you to feel like a servant or a victim at the moment and the need to recognize the healing you need to do in this area of your life is key. Bypassing pain can only get you so far. It is necessary to acknowledge it and recognize that you are only delaying the inevitable.
This week starts off with some fire in your relationships! This can help bring you creativity (or even children) and it can also check you out of reality at times, and create an escape hatch. This will be a theme for the next two months, so practice discipline particularly in your communication. On the other hand, it is through your creativity and/or children that you are about to experience some hard work and a need to reach out to the larger community. This week is focusing you on yourself and the need to ultimately find peace in your heart.
The week begins with you having to face some hard work around home and community. This will be a theme over the next two months, so elevating the work to service is key here. Expect to run into some angry communication. Focus on cleaning up your side of the street. Likewise, you are also about to have your home become focal in your creative endeavors and career/responsibilities, so allowing grace to flow and spending time with chidden can be healing.
The week is one where you are stepping into your creative realm with more fire. This will elevate your career and status, it will also create a need to learn some new communication skills. Step in, you are ready! With your planet of home and higher wisdom moving into the 3rd, you will also be upleveling your wisdom and possibly your actual abode, particularly to make them more beautiful and welcoming to others. This week ends with the Moon moving back to where it began, in your first house, so a full circle experience of how you experience your identity. Don’t be afraid to get lost along the way:)
This week begins a two month period where through your heart you are able to find deeper meaning and purpose. You may also have some luck in home and real estate. At the same time, you are encountering some sudden unexpected events through your finances, things that are out of your control and can cause anxiety, but may not be as bad as you think. This Moon cycle is coming full circle back from avoidance to letting go and surrendering some of your attachments, particularly around community and your highest ambitions.
To take a deeper dive into these transits for you and see your natal tendencies,
Venus in Aries w/ Rahu (3/11-4/5) and Mars in Gemini (3/12-5/9): Playing with Fire
Venus moves into Aries today, joining the north node Rahu, where we may find ourselves surrounded by smoke in our relationships as we fire off in our own direction. Venus is the planet of beauty, happiness, romantic relating and harmony with others. Rahu is the head of the serpent, voraciously devouring everything in sight, but with no body to assimilate the experiences. Aries is where we are moved to action from our own impulse as opposed to what is good for everyone or others. Rahu stops and starts many things and doesn’t take advice. Aries is where we are hasty and struggle to maintain momentum on things we start.
At this moment, she is riding in through the Gandanta, a karmic knot where we have a break between water and fire signs, This difficult chasm we must leap with no guide, as no nakshatra bridges water and fire. As we can imagine, this is quite the step from the last month of having Venus exalted in dreamy Pisces joined Jupiter! It is like stepping out of soft fantasy into self-propelled frenzy of action, still based in illusion but less pure in its intention. Projections on others and exaggerating what actions of their seem “selfish” is one way this may show up, as well as a failure to see how we might also be acting from our own self-interest. While Venus is the indicator of relationships for all of us, for each of us she rules a different area of our life. Aries is also a specific part of your life, so knowing how this transit will specifically show up for you is key.
But before we get to that, the other planet that rules and fuels our passion has also changed signs…
Mars has spent the last 7 months in Taurus and today he moves into Gemini for the next two. Here we may find ourselves “in it to win it” in conversations, or other mental exercises. Mars’ main motivation is to strengthen us, whether its through exercise, competition, discipline or any other decisive action. When he is in a sign that doesn’t match his energy well, we see frustration, irritation and anger come out. In Taurus this was heavily focused on pleasure-seeking and enjoyment and the frustration could blame others for our own lack of discipline. In Gemini this is the mental realm of facts and ideas and can come out as arguing and polarizing ideas. We may suddenly see otherwise complex and nuanced concepts as black and white, right or wrong and try to individuate ourselves in our communication, rather than finding shared and common ground. Whatever house Gemini is for you and whatever houses Mars rules for you will be extremely significant here, as this shows what is actually happening in our lives as a result of this transit.
Together these two planets changing signs from feminine water and earth into masculine fire and air is going to really rile up our relationships! Whatever we have been sitting with, meditating on and mulling over, is about to set fire…Look out for this coming week’s “Stars this Week” on Monday morning, I highlight what these two transits actually means for each of us, based on rising sign!
If you want to take a deeper dive into your natal chart and what these transits mean for you
The Moon will be Full in Purva Phalguni on Tuesday, March 7, at 2:40 am HT (4:40 am PDT). This is the place in Leo where we are enjoying the spoils of being king, and having our desires met in relationships, yet have to be mindful of the new karma we are creating through our desire nature and our eyes. Bhaga, the god of lust, happiness and prosperity rules this nakashatra, and he has one eye that was poked out by Shiva for being overly lustful with his sight. His name also means vulva, and Purva Phalguni is the “earlier reddish lady”, ripe for marriage. The Sun is exactly across the way in Purva Bhadrapada, where we are realizing we are beyond the physical manifestations of our bodies and even our minds, and the desire is to set ourselves free of our karmic bonds. This axis can be particularly potent for souls whom are at a crossroads of awakening or have been traveling both the tantric and yogic paths. Do we dive deeper into our bodies, relations, and the pleasure we attain in them, or do we release these forms to find the highest truth?
With Mercury and Saturn joined the Sun in earlier nakshatras of Aquarius, we are still mired in the world of the haves and the have-nots, and the little people vs. those at the helm of society. On a personal level, this Moon is asking us to remember where we hold power and to wield it. Everyone’s leadership is needed in some capacity and the more of us that can step into our own light with care and consideration for the collective, the more everyone’s needs will be met. Humility and hard work are key, as is knowing what people actually need and want.
During this Full Moon, we also have Venus and Jupiter still together for a few more days in Pisces, gracing us with wisdom in our happiness. We are able to draw fewer lines around our happiness and feel genuine joy in the higher truth that surrounds us. This can help us aim high in our relations, but be mindful of getting caught in fantasy, as opposed to seeing the highest truth. Venus is moving by the end of the week and joining Rahu in Aries, so soon enough we may find ourselves focusing more on ourselves and what we want in our relationships. Beware of swallowing smoke and kissing mirrors; projection is likely.
Mars is still in Taurus, giving his one-way dristhi to this Moon in Leo, giving us a little extra fiery passion to attend our sea of admirers while we find our seat of power. He is also, like Venus, about to move signs on the 12th, out of Taurus after 7 long months in this sign of earthy pleasures! This shift into Gemini until May 9th can bring our passion out of the bedroom and into our minds and words, causing us to see things as either black and white, and speak them as right and wrong. Be mindful of your thoughts and words during this time and see if you can start a discipline of journaling or mantra practice to work with any mind disturbance (vritti) that arises.
This Full Moon is also the start of Holi, a celebration of the victory of light over dark as the seasons shift towards spring. All over India and the world people playfully cover each other in bright colors in the streets and villages. One story of Holi is that of the Divine love affair of Krishna and Radha, the Beloved and his Lover. Young Krishna is sad because Radha is so fair and he is so dark in complexion. His mother Yashoda suggests that they paint each other with colors, so as not to notice the differences. Krishna smears her face with Gulal, and thus the tradition began.
Happy Full Moon & Holi!

The week begins with our Moon moving towards Full in Leo, now in the star of Purva Phalguni. This is the heart of Leo, where we are learning to enjoy the riches and reputation we have accrued, but must remember the little people who helped us get there as well. Across from Mercury, Saturn and of course, the Sun, in Aquarius, we are remembering the hard work and humanity that brought us to where we are and how having more means having to serve more. We also must seek beauty beneath the appearance of things and not just go for the prettiest bauble on the shelf.
March 8th the Moon moves into Virgo, riding on the star Uttara Phalguni, where contracts must be made and agreements kept to maintain the fun and pleasure of the previous star. While we tend to the details for a few days, Venus and Jupiter across the way, remind us of the bigger picture, and the higher love that is possible. We want both, especially in our relationships. We need the earthly presence of showing up for what needs to be done to maintain the day to day, and we want the fantasy, and the epic possibility of touching God through our love.
Friday and Saturday, the Moon joins Ketu in Libra for a weekend of relating and also cutting to the heart of what might be our challenge here. This theme is recurring since March of 2022 and will continue until November 2023, so at some point, it’s a good idea to look at what you have been avoiding here.
Saturday night/Sunday morning Venus moves into Aries, joining the North node, and we may find ourselves being less understanding in our relationships. The fiery and often selfish energy of Aries can be jolting coming out of dreamy Pisces and Rahu may cause us to fall into projection and Sunday afternoon brings us into an emotional Moon in Scorpio at the same time as Mars is finally exiting Taurus into Gemini after 7 months here! We may be feeling some sadness and anger and this new Mars transit can cause us to see things in black or white terms and to speak quickly and harshly if we are not mindful!

To take a deep dive into your own personal chart and transits:
Jupiter and Venus are in exact conjunction in Pisces today, bringing us the possibility of higher love, that reaches beyond the bounds of our material world. We may be lost in writing, dancing, making love or swimming and revel in the pleasure of being in our bodies. We may be able to find such depths of joy that others witnessing it can become elated as well. We may also experience disappointment in the things of this world. This is not necessarily a time where mundane relationships will flourish. This is particularly true for those whom have a rising sign where this alignment is in a difficult house, or rules challenging areas of their life, such as the fire signs. Check out my latest “Stars this Week” report HERE, to find out how it affects your particular sign.
Jupiter is Guru, the teacher, the one who sheds light in the darkness. This is where we receive our highest beliefs and ideals and try to expand into them. Venus is the other Guru, Shukra, which means “white” or “semen”. This is where we see if we can maintain those beliefs whilst in relationship. Can we compromise, have our own needs and desires be met, and feel deep connection to the other without having to compromise what is true in our heart?
Pisces is where we are at sea, and like two fish swimming in opposite directions we want to know and be everywhere all at once, and often end up swimming in circles. In Pisces we can get lost in fantasy and illusion and in reaching for what is high, forget to show up for what is actually in front of us. The nakshatra they are in is called Revati, “the wealthy”. This star is the final one, where we are guided by the shepherd Pushan, who nurtures us on our long journey home. Venus is exalted here because we are able to love without reason, and be happy in spite of our physical reality. In its highest state we may really see God in all. In its lower dimensions, this can be looking away from the truth of our relationships and bypassing our disconnect or challenges. The highest form of wealth is love. Love brings greater abundance than any amount of money or possessions; it brings real happiness. To access this level of joy, we must be in truth with where we are not happy first.
Perhaps we can use this moment to reflect upon where we truly are in our happiness and relationships. Are you one side-step from a friendship, love affair or long term partnership ending and it is only your illusions that keep it afloat? Or are you securely attached with someone where the level of safety and showing up on both your parts is so tangible and real, that you can grow together towards your highest love? Conversely, is your happiness mired in outcomes, milestones achieved and material things or would it be there even if everything in your life were to fall apart?
